I've always been intrigued by the random thoughts people leave in public places. From carvings in a bench to markers on a bathroom stall, people leave messages in various ways in various places. In a lot of ways these remind me of mental snapshots. They capture what someone was thinking about at some point in time and a lot of the message is left to the viewer to interpret. They can be profane, funny, shallow, and thoughtful but I think they are all interesting and hint at the wide range of stories that play out on a daily basis.
